3 year stats

3 years... WOW-

still growing- and amazing us all everyday.

Growing- but still in the 10% for weight and height- at your appointment you were:
Weight- 28 lbs 2 oz
Height- 36 inches

Right now you are loving robots, transformers, and still love to race your cars. We watched Real Steel with Hugh Jackman and you love it. You will line up the couch cushions around the room and 'box' them. And of course finish it all off with the robot dance.

You also like to 'transform' You make sound effects and go from a standing position and transform into a car (laying on the ground position) Then make the sounds to transform back up to a Transformer!

Your JJ (who spoils you- along with all your grandparents) has recently given you a new transformer- Bumble Bee. It goes just about everywhere with us. She also gave you a Spiderman jacket. (the hood comes up and goes over your eyes- giving your Spidey- eyes) We wear it aLOT. When you wear it to school all the kids think it's so cool and they will shout out for SPIDERMAN! You can even throw your web.

You can count and now are recognizing numbers- like the numbers on the race cars. You know several songs, but on repeat for you these days is
- Justin Beiber- Body Rock
- Pink- So What
- Skrillex- Rock-n-Roll
you look like the Coppertone baby

All of these you have learned from the Wii Dance 4 and you even know- memorized-  the dance moves! You really get into it. (I think you get the dance moves from your mom- the good ones anyhow)

Last night on the way home I told you that the Bachelor Finale was coming on tonight and you said
"oh my goodness! that's so cute"

You also like to say 'awesome'  'oh my word' 'I didn't do that'  'that's my favorite ____'

laying on Daddy
Your Dad finished your big boy bed last weekend and we have you room almost ready to go. We will be making that transition very soon. Probably going to actually take your crib apart and pack it away until we are ready to use it for your sister. I think I am more nervous about the move than you are. Upstairs just seems like so far away.

your transformer Top Spin- you asked me to take this picture
You are a very picky eater. Chicken nuggets, hamburgers, pizza, mac-n-cheese, cheese, bananas, yogurt, apple sauce, spaghetti, turkey dogs, sausage, bagels with jelly, and any type of crackers- are you staples. You may not know it- but you have eaten fish sticks, calamari, and shrimp- we told you it was chicken :) But you liked them all. We also sneak in veggies in just about everything we can.

If I ask you what you like- you will tell me things like mushrooms, tomatoes, and salad- even though you haven't ever tried any of those (willingly)

You know how to work the Ipad like a pro. You can find your games (in a folder) your TV shows and movies and  YouTube is your favorite. You love to play outside. Riding your bike or playing in the dirt. Also playing with Daddy's tools. I imagine this summer you will become a fish in the pool.

I asked you what you thought we should name your sister- at 1st you said Firetruck. Pretty sure she would not be too happy about that. Later you told me Reagan or Forest- two of your friends at school.
your 1st time at the dentist- you were a CHAMP! everyone commented on how good you were.

We have pretty much mastered pee- pee in the potty. You can go by yourself and rarely have any accidents. Poo-Poo is a whole other story. You tell me that transformers go poo-poo in the potty- but not Kash. Hopefully one of these days you will make up your mind to go. You have gone maybe 3-4 times- but for some reason you don't like it and it seems to scare you. So we will be patient- I know when you make up your mind to do something- you can do it. That time will come.

you got skillz with your sippy cup
Every morning you wake up with a big smile and a snugly hug. It's the best way to start anyone's day. You are happy and brighten days often. You can have a hard head (not sure where you get that from) but at that same time it's nice to see you work situations out with your hard head. You grow more and more everyday- we are learning new things from you as often as you are learning from us. You are loved by more people than you can imagine.

Summer in full swing-

It's been HOT! and we are having a great time. The new job is going great- and we are keeping cool with AC (yikes- the bills!) and swimming pools- and fans- and lots of sunblock.

We have been on the go- so that's why the long delay in posting here- I am going to try and catch back up. And on top of that.... I can't find my stinking camera- ugh! I am sure it's around here somewhere- but... where?

I guess I can always come back and add pictures later- so I am just going to catch you up real quick with *gasp* words- they are little things that are made up by putting letters together- and if my spell check will work right- then hopefully some of these letters will actually make sense! Fingers crossed.

The new job has been going great! I have got my "routine" down and I am being very good about sticking to it and getting lots of work done. Very nice. I try and get out of the house once a day- usually to hit up the gym- but then back to my office and back to work. (oh! and I will have to take some pictures of my office- yay)
The only thing I can say is that- although I have been good about having dinner on the table by the time DaddyC and BabyK get home from work- MUCH easier to do since I get to skip out on the hour commute home just sitting in traffic. But- I find myself wanting to go out to eat more- just to get back out of the house.
And Gracie snores WAY to loud- but if those are my only complaints- and they really aren't even complaints- just realizations... if that's a word- anywhoo- just saying- it's going good.

BigBroC is turning 11 this month- BigSisC is turning- dun dun ta-dun- 13 in August- and BabyK will be 18 months next month-

We have been out to the lake more than once- and really enjoy spending time there. We went back in May with our friends from Lubbock- and then again just a week ago or so- to Lake Conroe with my mom. That is a big lake. We had a great time playing washers, Pip (it's a dice game), laying by the pool, eating crawfish and cooking out. Even rented a boat for a day- good times.

So you can see that I am truth telling- when I say we have been busy. I'm off to find the camera and hopefully can add some pictures soon.

5 Month Update

I am too cool!

well- I guess I should have started doing this..... well about 5 months ago.... BUT better late than never. So I just want to let you all in on what Kash has been up to.

Size: 12lbs, wearing 3-6 mo clothes and still wearing some 0-3 mo clothes

New Moves: rolling over back to front- he can do this pretty good now. He can also sit up unassisted for a couple of minutes- as long as he's focused. He can pull his knees under him and he can push himself up with his arms- but he hasn't quite figured out how to do both at the same time. So I think we have sometime before crawling starts.

Yummy Foods: still on formula, drinking 5 oz about every 3 hours. We got clearance from the doc to introduce some rice cereal and other beginner foods- so far I have put a tiny piece of sweet potato and a little avocado on my finger- both got a yucky face and both got spit out. So I don't think we are quite ready for real "food" yet, so we will just stick with formula for a bit longer. But if you put a cup or bottle anywhere near him he will try to drink it- so watch out- he may try to steal your drink!

Any Words: Definitely lots of babbling, and some Mamamama's- but no formed words

Sleeping: taking 2 naps daily, we start bed time routine at about 7:30-45ish and Kash is usually asleep by 8:15-30, he sleeps all night (even now it makes me nervous to say this- like I may still jinx myself) he usually wakes up about 6:00am on weekdays and if we are lucky he will sleep until 7:00-30 on weekends. If we are really lucky after he wakes up at 7:00 and has a bottle- he will go back to sleep until 9:00am or so!! WOW!
For naps he is sleeping on his tummy in his crib and for bedtime he is still sleeping in his swing. We just aren't quite ready to move him upstairs yet- it seems so far away!

Best Moments: laughter! by far the best- there isn't anything that Cody and I won't do to hear him laugh. He loves it when I put my hair down around his face, like a little hair cave- I think it tickles him. He loves bath time with Dad- I can hear them in there making all kinds of funny noises and laughing.

Favorite Things: He loves loves loves his bouncer- he just goes to town in that thing! He is also ticklish on his feet and under his arms, especially when Cody rubs his scruffy chin against the bottom of his feet. It's so funny because he makes this face like "errrrr do I laugh or errrr do I cry" LOL i'ts pretty funny!
He's been sucking on his lips- both lips- it's the strangest thing- he will also put any and every thing that he comes in contact with- fingers, toys, everything- all goes straight in his mouth. And the drool- O.M.G. the drool! It's everywhere-
