34 weeks-Thanksgiving Time!

How far along? 34 weeks

Body Changes? not really much to report here- poofy hands and feet- especially since we've been up moving, packing, and cleaning on the weekends- that's hard work!

Sleep: still a toss and turn- pee kind of rotation through the night

Best moment this week: well..... I would say moving into our new house- BUT we all know that didn't happen- so I won't dwell on those unfortunate events- but we did get to see the house all done- nice and neat and clean! (probably won't be that way again for quite sometime)

Gender: BOY

Food Cravings: I am making more of the Pumpkin Gooey Butter cake- and I did find a recipe for Chocolate Butter Gooey Cake- sooooo even though I am not really "craving" them- I plan on making them and then eating them too!

What I miss: hmmm.... the usual- sushi, wine, clothes- but it won't be long now!

Symptoms: I am feeling pretty good- a little swelling here and there- CJ is having lots of fun- I have been pretty lucky and have not be over- whelmed with tiredness again. (they say it comes back in the 3rd trimester) (and yes- I am knocking on wood RIGHT now)

What I am looking forward to: well- moving! that will be great- and I finally get to set up CJ's room! I think we are going to go ahead and get our car seat- fun! Then it will probably be time to start packing our hospital bags- and getting ready to meet CJ-

Milestones: I met with a pediatrician today- she was very nice- and I think I will meet with one more before we make our decision.

This past week we also celebrated Lori's birthday by going to see New Moon! Watch out all you Team Edward and Team Jacob fans out there! The movie was alright- still NO comparison to the books- but I have to say- Jacob did look really good. And Ciara agreed! (but remember ladies- he is only 17 years old)

Talk about dissapointment....

So the house is all ready, walk throughs are all done- and closing date is set. Today (11/24/09) at 11:00am was suppose to be our moment of celebration! our closing date.

But.....

No.....

Something happened with the documents between the loan officer and title company and blah blah blah "we can get you closed until Monday"

MONDAY!!!

I have scheduled cable to be turned on- a new refrigerator is being delivered- we are all packed- we have no plates, no cups, we are living out of suit cases- it's Thanksgiving weekend- not to mention we are suppose to be OUT of our current house on Monday.

Anyhow- it sucks- BIG TIME!

But the house is done, we will close next week, we will still be together for Thanksgiving, we have some extra packing time..... come on- I am trying to think and put a positive spin on all this.

But without further ado- here are the latest pictures of our new house- that we can't live in- *sigh* yet....Front porch-Kitchen sink close up-

Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cake

This stuff is so good! Pretty easy to make too. But consider yourself warned- here is the warning:

*IF YOU MAKE THIS- YOU WILL EAT IT*

And you may eat it all by yourself and not want to even share with others- so proceed with caution. And I am ok with that- if you are ok with that. But it's really not nice to not share- especially if you plan on making this around me :)

This is Paula Dean's recipe, I found on the Food Network. A great Thanksgiving or festive fall recipe! (or weekend, weekday, morning, afternoon, evening, whenever recipe too)

INGREDIENTS:

Cake:
- 1 package of yellow cake mix
- 1 egg
- 8 tablespoons of butter, melted

Filling:
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 can pumpkin
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 8 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 (16 oz) box powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Combine the cake mix, egg, and butter and mix well with an electric mixer. Pat the mixture into the bottom of a lightly greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan.

Filling: In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and pumpkin until smooth. Add the eggs, vanilla, and butter, and beat together. Next, add the powdered sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and mix well. Spread pumpkin mixture over cake batter and bake for 40- 50 minutes. make sure not to overbake- the center should be a little gooey.

Serve topped with whipped cream~!

ENJOY!

32 weeks- that's 8 months ya'll-

So 32 weeks- so far so good. Nothing too exciting to post today. We have been packing a lot, cleaning a lot, and getting rid of a bunch of stuff- so needless to say- I am pooped! Between working at work, working at home, and working out- that's a lot of work!

But in only 8 more weeks- my whole world will change..... time is flying by and hopefully we'll be able to close on our house next week, get all moved in, and get the kids and ourselves settled in before CJ makes his arrival.

How far along? 32 weeks

Body Changes? Belly is growing- hair is growing, nails are still growing- although I got the comment from my mother this weekend that she thinks my legs are shrinking.... great...

Sleep: what's that? I spoke to soon when I said I was sleeping pretty good- I jinxed myself- ugh!

Best moment this week: Carlos and Korry's trip to Florida!! Where Carlos popped THE question!! It's sweet since I had been let in on this little secret for the past few weeks- hehe!

Gender: BOY-

Cravings: nothing..... still nothing... although I made this awesome Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cake- and I could just blame that on the cravings.... right?

What I miss: sleeping

Symptoms: moving belly and pants that don't fit

What I am looking forward to: bunko next week and then my friend Lori's birthday next weekend! We are off to see New Moon-

Milestones: packing- slowly but surly we will have this old house packed up- to move into the new house- I think we will be closing next week. I can. not. wait. yay!

Trick o Treat

At work we have a big o' Halloween party each year! This is where those handy dandy cake pops came into play. We used them as centerpieces for our spooky conference room- doesn't look so spooky here- but just pretend mmmkay???
We also had a caramel and chocolate apple dipping station! It was yummy! Once you dipped your apples in the ooey gooey caramel and chocolate you got to dip them in yummy toppings like: crushed oreos, graham cracker crust, coconut shavings, and sprinkles- needless to say- it was a big hit!

Here is some of us girls after getting our faces painted. I had a black scaredey cat- it did kinda look like a skunk- but you know- those are scarey too!

Saturday night we headed over to A&J's house to watch some UT football- and then head out to Cool River for some fun. Here are all the girls- oh- and one of the cutest little cats!

Just look how cute this cat and dog are- oh- I mean cat and pumpkin! I almost didn't notice little Lillie there!

I didn't make it to the bar that night- but from what I understand- good times was had by all. I heard stories of alien sex, a run in with a bush, and some serious break dancing going on- craziness I tell ya!
