My Take Monday

OK- so doing this every Monday- not sure if I can keep up with that- may start doing My Take (every 1st) Monday (of the month). Point is- if you don't find me here one Monday- don't freak out (since I know you all would) but just know that I won't be far away- and I will be back in just a few short Mondays. Who knows- maybe I will post every Monday- but maybe I won't- I think I will just keep you guys on your toes!

We got a new stoller for Kash this weekend! yipeee! I will have a review for you all ready to go in just a few short weeks. So far so good- but I think it will be a better review once I actually get to use it.

Have a great week!

Dad's Day Pictures

It's pretty easy to take good pictures when you have such good models! These turned out pretty good! Kash was SOOOO in awe of the grass- I could hardly get him to look at the camera-

enjoy :)

Pretty girl- all tan-

ohhhhh grass..... it's green-
Kash! Look at mommy! over here!

hmmmmm- drool-
Mommy- where?
Over here?

nope- NOT going to look at you- no matter how many noises you make!
I bet our neighbors think we you are weird.
Silly boys-
What a sweetie-
Final products-

Happy Father's Day- to a wonderful father, a loving husband- my best friend- I could not -and would not- want to make it without you. You make my world go round- and for these kids- you are the ULTIMATE super hero. We all love you very much!

My Take Monday- hair

So I figured I would start with something easy- and something that I really like LOVE! My friend Dr. Jess (she's the dermatologist) got me some Victoria's Secret hair products for my birthday one year. I have been a user ever since!

First off- I have really thick curly hair.

(well it was thick- when does the post baby hair loss stop anyhow? hopefully soon....)

It's sometimes unmanageable- and that's why it's usually pulled back in a ponytail. But on that same note- my hair is easy to fix. I wash it- and then put some sort of product in it while it's wet- and then let it air dry. So not too much maintenance.

Let me just say- the Victoria's Secret hair products are AWESOME! I love the way the shampoo and conditioner smell- soooo goooood! I use the Wave Enhancing Spray- which also smells good and gives my curls just the right amount of tame and bounce.

And at 3 for $24- pretty good deal ladies! And they have products for all types of hair. The only downside I have to say about these is that you have to travel to Victoria's Secret to buy them. And that means going to the mall for me. And that means shopping.

And that means t-r-o-u-b-l-e.

Or I guess you could order online- and try just try to not look at any of the other TONS of cute stuff that Victoria's Secret has to offer.

Anyhow- overall I would definitely recommend these products to friends. I hope you all enjoy them as much as I have. *Thanks Jess for introducing them to me :)

My Take Mondays-

ok- so this is something new that we are going to try doing around here. My Take Mondays- this is where on Mondays I am going to give you all "my take" on something. It could be something that I love- or could be something that I totally despise- but I will just let you know my thoughts. You can do with them as you please.

**and no- I am not being paid to do any of these product reviews- HOWEVER- if there is anyone out there that would like to pay me- or if you would like to provide me with your product to review- I will be happy to discuss**

So be on the lookout on Monday- what a way to start the week right?

5 Month Update

I am too cool!

well- I guess I should have started doing this..... well about 5 months ago.... BUT better late than never. So I just want to let you all in on what Kash has been up to.

Size: 12lbs, wearing 3-6 mo clothes and still wearing some 0-3 mo clothes

New Moves: rolling over back to front- he can do this pretty good now. He can also sit up unassisted for a couple of minutes- as long as he's focused. He can pull his knees under him and he can push himself up with his arms- but he hasn't quite figured out how to do both at the same time. So I think we have sometime before crawling starts.

Yummy Foods: still on formula, drinking 5 oz about every 3 hours. We got clearance from the doc to introduce some rice cereal and other beginner foods- so far I have put a tiny piece of sweet potato and a little avocado on my finger- both got a yucky face and both got spit out. So I don't think we are quite ready for real "food" yet, so we will just stick with formula for a bit longer. But if you put a cup or bottle anywhere near him he will try to drink it- so watch out- he may try to steal your drink!

Any Words: Definitely lots of babbling, and some Mamamama's- but no formed words

Sleeping: taking 2 naps daily, we start bed time routine at about 7:30-45ish and Kash is usually asleep by 8:15-30, he sleeps all night (even now it makes me nervous to say this- like I may still jinx myself) he usually wakes up about 6:00am on weekdays and if we are lucky he will sleep until 7:00-30 on weekends. If we are really lucky after he wakes up at 7:00 and has a bottle- he will go back to sleep until 9:00am or so!! WOW!
For naps he is sleeping on his tummy in his crib and for bedtime he is still sleeping in his swing. We just aren't quite ready to move him upstairs yet- it seems so far away!

Best Moments: laughter! by far the best- there isn't anything that Cody and I won't do to hear him laugh. He loves it when I put my hair down around his face, like a little hair cave- I think it tickles him. He loves bath time with Dad- I can hear them in there making all kinds of funny noises and laughing.

Favorite Things: He loves loves loves his bouncer- he just goes to town in that thing! He is also ticklish on his feet and under his arms, especially when Cody rubs his scruffy chin against the bottom of his feet. It's so funny because he makes this face like "errrrr do I laugh or errrr do I cry" LOL i'ts pretty funny!
He's been sucking on his lips- both lips- it's the strangest thing- he will also put any and every thing that he comes in contact with- fingers, toys, everything- all goes straight in his mouth. And the drool- O.M.G. the drool! It's everywhere-

Memorial Day Weekend of Fun!

What a weekend! We drove out to the Oak Creek Reservoir to visit with the Kageler family!
We haven't had a chance to see them since we all went to Sea World LAST year- too long! I could not believe how big their son K-Kaleb had gotten. (so on this trip we have C-Caleb and K-Kaleb or you could say Big Caleb and Little Kaleb- whatever) Anyhow- K-Kaleb is just toooooo cute! (so is C but since he's almost to the double digits this month- that's right turning the big 1-0 he thinks he's too grown up for cute now-a-days- but that's a whole-nother post) C is also trying to quit a nasty nose picking habit- that's right C- I will embarrass you to the whole blogging world if you don't get that dang finger OUT of your nose- grossgrossgross-gag-
-OK- back to Memorial Day Weekend- sorry about that

We woke up in the morning to fish (and because Kash was hungry) and some fishing those kids did! WOW- Caleb and Ciara both caught their fair share of some fishies. Next visit hopefully we'll have the cleaning station all set up and then it's Fish Fry time! I can just see Ciara gutting and cleaning fish- yea right! I guess I will have to see if I can figure out my Granny's fish fry recipe- or better yet- her hush puppies- they are the best EVER-
First catch of the day!

Catch #2- what a smile- right?? LOL!
OK- so now he's warming up to this whole "fish" thing! yummmm sushi-
Holding a nasty fish and still looking pretty-
After the kids and boys came back from fishing- we loaded up and enjoyed the day. Between hanging out in the water- on the lake- riding the tube- and sitting on their HUGE front porch- it was just great.

Look at that size of that catfish!!! watchout!
The kids must have made a billionbazillionmillion miles in the golf cart- they loved that thing! and according to those brave enough to ride with them- they are pretty good drivers. (they probably learned that from me) (stop laughing mother...)

We picked up the game- RedNeck Golf- which was a TON of fun- and according to Les- this RedNeck Golf set was even 'rednecker' than usual.... if that's possible. I think some may call it Ladder Golf- either way- it's red neck- has nothing to do with golf- and it's fun! We spent the evenings sitting out on the porch- enjoying the sunset- enjoying our company- and cooking out- it really was a great trip. Thanks for having us Kageler's and we can't wait to do it again!
